Welcome Back Tony Scott Jazz Festival — 12th Edition

The 12th edition of the Welcome Back Tony Scott Jazz Festival will take place on July 25 and 26 at the Norman-Swabian Castle in Salemi, as part of the “Salemi d’Estate 2026” festival program. The festival, dedicated to the memory of Salemi-born clarinetist Tony Scott, is a cornerstone of the Sicilian jazz scene and brings together established artists and rising stars from the national scene, under the artistic direction of Monica Shaka. On Saturday, July 25, the “Sicilian Women in Jazz” evening features Simona Trentacoste and Francesco Guaiana at 9:30 p.m., followed at 10:30 p.m. by the Sade Mangiaracina Trio with Marco Bardoscia and Gianluca Brugnano. On Sunday, July 26, the “History of Jazz” evening opens at 9:30 p.m. with the Saihs, winners of the 2025 Umbria Jazz Conad Contest, and continues at 10:30 p.m. with the Mario Rusca Trio, alongside Tony Arco and Riccardo Fioravanti, in a repertoire that pays tribute to the great masters of jazz. Admission is free for both evenings. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Salemi with the support of the Sicilian Regional Assembly and main sponsor ENGIE.
