Francesco lu Santu Jullare — A Tribute to Dario Fo | Orestiadi 2026

The 2026 Orestiadi open their tribute to Dario Fo, in the centenary of his birth, with "Francesco lu Santu Jullare", the celebrated one-man performance about the life of St. Francis of Assisi written by Fo in the 1990s. On stage is Ugo Dighero, one of the Italian performers most faithful to Fo's tradition of narrative theatre: jester-like language, satire and the sacred intertwine in one of the most beloved works of Fo's repertoire.
