Giorgio Andreotta Calò — "Ricucire"

From August 1 to 15, Gibellina will host “Ricucire,” a workshop project by Giorgio Andreotta Calò involving a group of students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, as part of a journey that physically and symbolically traverses the areas of the Belice region affected by the earthquake. The journey concludes on August 16 with a performance and a procession to Burri’s Grande Cretto. The project is part of the “Portami il Futuro” program organized by Gibellina, the 2026 Italian Capital of Contemporary Art, in collaboration with the Orestiadi Festival.
